Podiatry Snapshot
Changes were made to eligibility criteria for podiatry services in Bolton. Following thise a number of comments were made to us. This report presents these views to illustrate how service changes can affect patients.

Conclusions:
Individuals felt that they were not well informed of changes to services. They are confused about the eligibility requirements and have been made to jump through hoops to establish their eligibility.
There was concern over lengthening waiting times and it is clear patients need up to date information regarding NICE recommendations in terms of foot checks.
People feel the changes are ‘pushing’ them into paying for private podiatry services and they have ‘no confidence’ in the appointments system.
