If you are interested in volunteering with Healthwatch Bolton, please attend one of our Healthwatch Forums and speak to a member of Healthwatch Bolton staff.
The Healthwatch Forum is a monthly public meeting, intended to be informative and to promote discussion and dialogue on issues in health and social care.
Typically the meeting starts with presentations about local or national developments of importance.
This keynote session is followed by a question and answer session and then a short discussion workshop. The event includes lunch and networking.
This is the best forum for getting an overview on what is coming up on the health and social care agenda and keeping abreast of what Healthwatch Bolton and other organisations are doing to improve local services.
Please let Deborah know if you plan to attend: firstname.lastname@example.org
If you decide you would like to get involved more actively with Healthwatch Bolton, we will discuss the options with you. You will be expected to undertake development training with options for training in other areas you would benefit from. We can offer a range of volunteering opportunities such as attending meetings on behalf of Healthwatch Bolton (after training), holding our stall at an event, talking to the public, joining our ‘enter and view’ team when you can join a team of volunteers who can visit NHS and social care premises to speak to patients and clients.
All ‘out of pocket expenses’ are paid to volunteers.
